The latest addition to the Werrd Alliance, Nehemiah Peterson, got himself a nice bit of press over the weekend in local paper, The Journal Times. Check out an excerpt of the article below, and click through for the full write-up. Nice job, Nehemiah!
Sixteen-year-old Nehemiah Peterson of Burlington is only good at one sport.
But in the rising sport of competitive yo-yoing, he’s amazing, what-the-heck-did-he-just-do-and-how-the-heck-did-he-do-it good.
The Burlington High School junior is the reigning state freestyle yo-yo champion in Wisconsin and Ohio. He has just acquired Australian yo-yo manufacturer Werrd as his sponsor. And he’s qualified for the national yo-yo competition in California on Oct. 4.
“This year was a really big year for me,” Peterson said. He won Ohio’s yo-yoing competition, placed third in the Triple Crown of YoYo in Chicago and second in the Midwest regional contest — which qualified him for the nationals.
Just two weeks ago, the owner of Werrd called and offered to sponsor Peterson. He was added to the company’s contest team, the Werrd Wrecking Crew.
The sandy-haired, slightly built teenager — 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 125 pounds soaking wet — isn’t boastful about his obvious skills. But he does exude casual confidence, whether it’s in conversation or the dazzling demonstration video he did for Werrd outside Veterans Terrace, 589 Milwaukee Ave. It ends with Peterson smiling and doing a couple of joyful bounces after what he has just shown.

Werrd has got the market cornered on quality yoyo players named Vu, so it only makes sense to pit them against each other in a fight to the death!
Unfortunately, they chose to have them do a video together instead. Which is cool, I guess, but c’mon…death match. DEATH MATCH.
Featuring Vu ho the 2010 Australian national Yoyo champion and Brandon Vu the current 2014 Australian national Yoyo champion
Vu + Vu.. Coincidence?
I think not!Fresh off the production line after the conclusion of the Australian championships these two young talented guys placing 1st and 2nd consecutively have proven themselves to be the top two players in Australia. If that doesn’t give you enough push to watch, both were carefully selected by Werrd to join their global international brand which is an obvious recipe for success!
Now they have joined forces for the greater good to bring you Vu^2 to show the rest of the world how they throw ‘down under’
Throwing the latest Werrd Irony JP.Without further ado,
I present Vu Ho and Brandon Vu in the coolest of cool, super awesome, almost impossible: Vu^2.
Hope y’all enjoy it!
