Check out this yoyo player’s appearance on Korean TV show “Hello Counselor” for his, uh, yoyo addiction. Amazing.
Mexican YoYo Association on Sabadazo
Mexican YoYo Association players Isaac Kanarek, Betty Gallegos, Orlando Abrajan, and Mauricio Calvo had a great appearance on Mexican television show “Sabadazo”. As with many Mexican television shows, the hosts were three beautiful women, one who was rapping, and a guy in clown makeup acting like a lunatic.
I wonder if American TV looks this crazy in Mexico? đ
Congrats to the MYYA players on a great appearance and some solid press for the Mexican yoyo scene!
Hugh Jackman YoYoing On Japanese TV
Thanks to our friends at Rewind for giving us some explanation on this one! The yoyoing starts around 0:56.
On the September 16, 2013, broadcast of channel Fuji TV’s popular program SMAPxSMAP, actor Hugh Jackman appeared on the program to promote his new movie âThe Wolverineâ (titled âWolverine: Samuraiâ here in Japan).
In the popular Bistro SMAP segment, he admitted that he happened to have been a yoyo champion when he was 10 years old. Jackman got out a yoyo (allegedly a Hyper YoYo MonsterShell) and proceeded to impress the members of SMAP with his proficiency at tricks such as Walk the Dog, Rock the Baby, and Loop the Loop.
Particularly impressive was the number of solid inside loops Jackman was able to perform on such a basic fixed axle yo-yo! We can only hope to see some more of his yo-yo skills on the other stops of his PR tour.

Harrison Lee on Global TV BC Morning News!
Harrison Lee is in the news AGAIN! This time with a great segment on Global TV BC Morning News!
Harrison is possibly the most relaxed and polished yo-yo player I have seen on the news!
From Harrison:
My interview on Global TV by morning news anchors, Steve Darling and Sophie Lui, talking about my latest yoyo tricks, my fundraiser for Calgary and upcoming competitions!
Harrison Lee on Breakfast Television
CLYW’s Harrison Lee is making the rounds on Canadian television! Go Harrison!
I had the amazing opportunity to be interviewed live on City TV’s Breakfast Television by Jody Vance and Riaz Meghji. I had a great time and appreciate all their support!
Japan Nationals on CBC TV
The Nagoya-based CBC TV has a niece piece on Japan Nationals, held in the city last week.
There’s some of the usual “the yo-yo is not what it used to be”, but there are some quite interesting bits on Tatsuya Fujisaka and Izuru Hasumi’s lives outside of yo-yoing.
A rare glimpse into the production and development of YoYoRecreation products is also provided, with a brief visit to the machine shop, and a close look at YoYoRecreation’s titanium yo-yo prototype, complete with Tatsuya Fujisaka testing a freshly-turned piece wearing his everyday suit.
And as a bonus, courtesy of YouTube’s translated subtitles, here’s your bad yoyo translation of the week:
