The UK yoyo scene is small but mighty, and they do a lot more than just swear and blame Langley for everything. Andy Jones (a Welsh player, but we won’t hold that against him) dropped a video with some really solid, smooth play. Not a lot of groundbreaking concepts, but everything is put together nicely and executed really well. This is a great example of how to take a lot of existing concepts and make them truly your own…players, take note!

Looks like the Seed, signature model of Riccardo Fraolini, is finally getting a full release. Prototypes have been kicking around since last year, but the yoyo hasn’t been shown as anything other than a raw aluminum prototype. Here’s what Xela had to say:
I designed the Seed in collaboration with Rspecial crew, Paolo Calocino and Riccardo “Blanchard” Fraolini (Xcube team). We made it to fit Blanchard’s yoyoing style, a wide and big yoyo but not too heavy. We gave it a crazy anodizing job and Morapio (X3 and YoyoCrema) made us a very cool engraving. The Seed is a kind of big La Goutte, with a strong Zeus feeling in my opinion. We love it! We hope you’ll like it!!!
Release date hasn’t been set yet, but we’ve confirmed that these HAVE shipped to retailers and should release just before or just after Christmas. YoYoExpert will be the first to have them in the US, so keep an eye on their New Releases page for details.
Riccardo Fraolini, one of Italy’s most creative players, just dropped this 1A clip showcasing his new signature throw “The Seed” from XCube. The video is a dreamy first person POV smorgasbord of neat concepts and saturated colors, with everything from behind-the-back finger spin transitions to a one-handed frog in a bag.
