Up-and-coming talent Borys Radziszewski gives us a nice glimpse of his future in this well-produced ONEstar promo video…he’s definitely got the skill and the talent to eventually become a top contest player in the European circuit.
Poland’s Winter Freestyle Competition is quickly becoming one of the most respected international yoyo events in the world, and our friends at Backspin do an excellent job covering the event. The 2012 European Champion, 2013 runner-up, and 1A veteran superhero Grzegorz “Plamek” Wójcik has just been announced as the newest member of team C3yoyodesign!
The announcement was made earlier today in great style, with this eye-candy of a clip video from Backspin.
Plamek joins Julia Gutoswska and Maciek Cwynar in the Polish division of the impressive and ever-growing C3yoyodesign team!
Amazing new talent Michal Zakrzewski is the newest player to join the YoYoFactory Contest Team. You might remember Michal from the Severe promo video he shot for YoYoFactory.pl, the Polish distributor for the brand. He also took 1st Place in the Winter Freestyle Competition and 6th Place at EYYC 2013. Michal is definitely a strong contest player and another great addition the YoYoFactory’s European team. Congratulations to Michal and YoYoFactory!
First video of 2013 from Poland’s Backspin. I have no idea why that one dude keeps punching the air, but I think he’s having a really good time. Also, the video is titled “Backspin Office” but it’s in a bedroom. So I’m not sure what kind of business they’re in, but I think it involves a lot of napping. Featuring Grzegorz ‘Plamek’ Wójcik, and Piotrek Śmietana.
Earlier today, YoyoFactory’s only “graduated” protegé, Marcin Drzewiecki won the 2012 Polish National Yo-yo Contest held in Lodz with a killer freestyle!
This is Marcin’s second national title in a row, he also got 4th place at the European Yo-yo Contest earlier this year and is the newest star in the traditionally strong Polish scene.

An action-packed weekend approaches quickly!
In Japan, one of the country’s oldest regional contests, West Japan will take place in Osaka. Plenty of well known names are expected, including Tatsuya Fujisaka, Ryosuke Iwasaka, Ryo Yamashita, Ryusei Saito, Taichiro Higashi, and Kazuaki Sugimura. A certain “Jyon Ando” is listed among the 58 1A players, and it remains to be seen if that’s the legendary John Ando himself!

In Europe, the attention is turned to Poland, running the eleventh edition of its national contest. Poland’s old and new talents will meet again after an excellent show earlier this year at the European Yo-yo Contest. European Champion Grzegorz Wojcik, from One Drop, and YoyoFactory’s Marcin Drzewiecki and Mateusz Ganc are no doubt the favorites there.
