Made in CanadaThe Cliff was designed by both Petr and I at Worlds in Orlando this year. Petr had a vision for what he wanted his signature throw to look like and we pulled it off first try. I’m really proud of what we came up with.
The Cliff is the largest return top we have made to date … but don’t let its size fool you! We strategically placed the rim weight near the undercut, which makes the Cliff play quite feathery for its size.

New video from Alex Morton, the second in his “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” series. “Yesterday” was released in October 2011, so enjoy this one…because “Tomorrow” might not be here for a while.

Santa Claus popped in to CLYW’s new office headquarters to get a peek at the new Red Blizzard Cliff. We heard he had a freestyle rap battle with Jensen before Chris kicked Mr. Claus to the curb so that they could turn the webcam back on.
Jensen won, for the record.
Our friends at CLYW are officially releasing their new 5-panel hats on their webstore this Friday, December 7th at 10 AM MST. They turned out absolutely stunning…be sure and scoop yours up quick, because they aren’t going to last long.
CLYW’s wonder boy Zach Gormley is the new US National 1A Champion! Zach presented a well presented and very technical freestyle to convincingly take 1st place! Check the video below! Congratulations, Zach!
YoyoFactory also won big today, winning the 2A, 3A, and 5A divisions, with Patrick Mitchell, Patrick Borgerding, and Tyler Severance, respectively.
In 4A, Bryan Figueroa continues to be the best 4A player in the US, winning his sixth National title!

Another big name team departure was announced. This was posted by Krisztian on Facebook:
Krisztian had been on the Canada-based CLYW team since 2009, and recently represented the brand on the European Yo-yo Championships. Krisztian had previously been part of Team YoyoJam.
No announcements have been made so far regarding any new team he might be joining, but C3 and One Drop seem to be the most popular guesses on his Facebook page.
Mr. Louis Vuitton, Ernest Kahn, from the Philippines, is the newest member of team CLYW! In case you missed it, last month Ernest performed for Louis Vuitton Yves Carcelle himself at the Philippines LV store, in Makati:
Ernest is also two-time Philippines national 1A champion, and also recently visited now teammate Pekka in Norway. Super neat to see one of the oldest team members kicking it with the newest!

Looks like Prague will see the biggest reunion of the Caribou team yet. Confirmed presences so far for the Canadian manufacturer are all European team members: from Iceland, Palli Gudmundsson; from the UK, Krisztian Kaluzsa; from the Czech Republic itself, Petr Kavka and Zdenek Hybl. Norwegian skateboarding ninja Pekka Lovas is back on the team and will be attending EYYC as well. From the other side of the Atlantic, the rioting duo Abe Ziaimehr and John-Bot will be attending, and CLYW boss Chris Mikulin will also be there for the family meeting.
Krisztian placed 5th and Petr placed 7th in this year’s contest, and will no doubt be fighting for the title in 2012. Petr has been competing in several contests in the continent, including Hungarian Nationals, Spanish Nationals, Austria-Slovakia Nationals, and a 3rd place finish at the Czech Nationals back in October and should be well prepared for EYYC. Both are also competing in the international division of the Russian Yo-yo Contest this weekend in Moscow.
