2014 Australian National YoYo Champion Brandon Vu made an appearance on Australia’s Today Show to promote his general awesomeness. Nice job, Brandon!
WYYC 2015 – Takayasu Murakami Wild Card Prep
At this year’s World YoYo Contest, the Wild Card round was some of the most intense competition ever seen. Nearly 100 players went one at a time into a small practice room with a panel of judges, and had only 30 seconds to prove themselves and move on to the Prelims. Some of the biggest names in modern competitive yoyoing, including 4x World YoYo Champion Hiroyuki Suzuki, went through the Wild Card round…the competition was fierce!
A thirty second freestyle is crazy intense…the slightest loss of control can shatter your nerves and leave you out in the cold. So of course, players like Takayasu are already working on Wild Card freestyles for the 2015 World YoYo Contest in Tokyo.
