YoYoNews.com and YoYoNews.jp have officially joined forces to bring yoyo players around the world the latest and greatest in all yoyo information!
YoYoNews.com was registered by André Boulay in 2008 with idea of creating a news site that would help unify and inform the international yoyo community. It wasn’t until André was approached by hyperactive overachiever Steve Brown who offered to run the site in November of 2012 that YoYoNews.com was finally launched.
YoYoNews.exblog.jp was launched by World Champion Shinya Kido in 2006 to keep the Japanese yoyo community more informed about contests, new releases, and information about what was happening in the international yoyo scene. In 2010 he relaunched the site as YoYoNews.jp.
The two sites have loosely shared information before but now we’ve officially joined forces to post translations of each other’s articles, expand our range of interviews and contest coverage, and work together to create even more original content for the benefit of the yoyo community and industry worldwide.
The two sites will continue to operate independently of each other, but now we’ll be actively working together to share information. Thanks to Shinya-san and his staff for joining with us, and we look forward to working with them to bring even more amazing content to the yoyo community.
Fantastic! Brilliant move on everyone’s account.
YESS! More content, less awkward translations off Google Translate! Amazing move for both sites!
Since yoyoacquaintance has been very sparse lately, I feel like I’ve been missing out on recent content from the Asian scene. I’m glad to learn that YoYoNews.jp exists, and is going to be in sync with the .com of the west.
We’ve been kind of worried about translating the Double Dragon articles to Japanese; I’m assuming that now this means they’ll be covered. This is awesome news!
awww yisssss
