CLYW team member Ernest Kahn brings some old skool style to this weeks Cabin Tutorial with his combo “Watch Me Whip”. Whip tricks fell out of favor a bit as slack became more popular, but a well-executed whip combo still looks amazing on stage. This is a good one to learn for anyone who regularly performs for non-player.
Yoyo used is the CLYW Igloo.
Alexis JV brings us a tutorial for a really beautiful original trick called “Indie Limonade”. Grab you a fresh string and get to work on this one!
Yoyo used is the Unspoken Project Paradox.
Alright, who did this? Step forward, please. This is either the best or worst yoyo player cameo in a music video I’ve ever seen. I think I’m going to watch it like a dozen more times and find out. (Starts at 1:04)
iYoYo produced a really beautiful look back at the 2017 European YoYo Championship, featuring team member and 4A European Champion Quentin Godet. This is definitely a top notch contest video…great shooting/editing, and gives a really nice feel of the event. Thanks, iYoYo, and congratulations Quentin!
Yoyo used is the iYoYo Air Dive.
Canada once again proved it is the most polite nation on Earth when they named TWO National YoYo Champions!
Harrison Lee and Luckey Li ended their runs with identical final scores. Luckey had the higher T.Ex score which, by IYYF rules, makes him the winner and the grants him the seeded spot to the 2017 World YoYo Contest in Iceland. The contest organizers abided by this rule, but also chose to grant both players the title of National Champion, and are getting another trophy made to give to Harrison. Isn’t Canada just the sweetest?
Check out full scoring breakdowns and video of the winners below!
1st Place (Tie) – Luckey Li
