Check out C3yoyodesign team member Corli Du Toit on South Africa’s Got Talent, and congrats to her making it through to Semi-Finals on the show. Great to see another big public representation of women in yoyoing! Thanks, Corli!
World YoYo Champion John Ando gives us a look at his work as a yoyo demonstrator in this video. This routine is a great reference for any aspiring performers out there…this is a great example of how to build a yoyo routine for a room full of young kids.
This video shows you the basic package of what a school yo-yo demonstration might look like.
In modern yoyoing, it’s easy to get lost in executing too many complex looking tricks. Unfortunately, non-yoyoers will not understand that aspect of brilliance. A balance between the easy (flashy tricks) and hard (complex tricks) is essential to pull off a good show. If you plan to do a school show in the future, I hope this can be reference to building your own. Remember, balance is the key.

Ivo Studer and Jan Schmutz, better known as World & European YoYo Champions InMotion, just posted a clip of their performance on Britain’s Got Talent!
While yoyo players may always be craving the newest and hardest things on stage, Jan and Ivo have done a fantastic job at being some of the very, VERY few yoyo players to create compelling and entertaining yoyo-related shows for a non-yoyo audience. Nice work guys!
Veteran yoyo performer John Higby has some pretty amazing stuff in his show, but one of the coolest things is a gigantic yoyo made from a walking globe. He’s been using it in his show for a year now, but he just released a cool video showing how it was made. Really neat!
John and Rebecca Higby, who perform as “The YoYo People“, recently had a nice feature on news station WCSH 6 in Portland, Maine to promote their shows at the Freeport Theater of Awesome. They’re performing again tomorrow at 2 PM…click here for tickets!
