Everyone’s favorite superstar yoyo player, Harrison Lee, will be performing at an art gallery in Vancouver tomorrow night. Why an art gallery? Because the evening will feature a new body of work from Canadian historical artist Raymond Chow who has created a series of paintings of and inspired by Harrison! THERE WILL BE PAINTINGS OF HARRISON LEE FOR SALE! A portion of all sales at the event will support a local charity, the Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund. Full details and press release below, and click through to view the event on the Fragrant Wood Gallery site, and on Facebook.
Vancouver, British Columbia, September 2013 – Fragrant Wood Gallery is proud to present an “Evening with artist Raymond Chow,” taking place on September 19th. This event continues the recent Retrospective Art Exhibition held during the month of August 2013 that showcased Chow’s prolific work over several decades. Chow will speak briefly about his past artistic works and unveil a new body of art work that he has recently completed, including a new series of paintings inspired by young local “yoyo” artist Harrison Lee. Also taking part in the event is Vancouver based landscape photographer, Karen Cooper. New works of art will also be featured from artists from South and East Asia. A portion of proceeds from sales made during the event will go to support the Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund, a local initiative that helps children in our very own community.
Please join us for the Evening Reception Thursday, September 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Fragrant Wood Gallery. The evening’s events will include piano performances by Chow and yoyo performances by Lee and promises to be a whimsical blend of art and entertainment. Note that the event will be photographed and filmed.
