Nehemiah Peterson’s “Tech Creators” project just released its second video featuring Harrison Lee, Colin Beckford, Paul Dang, Keiran Cooper, and plenty more. Good stuff? Good stuff.
Paul Dang strapped a camera to his face and put together this “day in the life” look at his average day working for One Drop YoYos. I personally think this was heavily edited to remove a lot of stuff…there is no way Paul gets through a day without giving out at least a hundred high-fives. Maybe even two-hundred. That guy is a high-five machine.
Ben Conde brings us another great video to help introduce people to the world of modern yoyoing with a look at what yoyo contests look like….to non-yoyo players. Filmed at the 2016 Bay Area Classic.
Featuring Tessa Piccillo, Gentry Stein, Paul Dang, Joseph Harris, Christian Padron, Yoshi Mikamoto, Shingo Terada, Bryan Jardin, Anthony Rojas, and Kevin Nicholas.
Are you ready for 12 minutes of Paul Dang and JT Nickel showing off their favorite tricks in crazy slo-mo? Make a sandwich, and settle in.
YoYoExpert forum member Parvar Singh mentioned that he really wished he could tour the One Drop facility in Oregon…but since he’s in India, that’s probably not going to happen any time soon.
So Paul Dang filmed this video tour of their shop as a treat for Parvar…and for everyone else!
Paul Dang and some friends spent some time with The Seasoned Traveler when it stopped in Oregon! Featuring Paul Dang, Tanner Murphy, Chris Miller, and Darin Havens.
The Seasoned Traveler is part of the Traveling Throw project, where a single yoyo is sent around the world for various players to use and film. The Seasoned Traveler is a second yoyo that is being sent to notable pros and sponsored players, while the Traveling Throw is open to anyone.
Yoyo used is the Monkeyfinger TRI-B.
Paul Dang and JT Nickel from One Drop hooked up with filmmaker Darren Dyk for some super slo-mo hijinks, and the results are killer! Plus it’s always fun to see what non-players focus on when it comes to filming yoyo tricks.
One Drop team members Paul Dang and Andrew Daugherty show off some tricks with One Drop’s 2014 Benchmark Series.
One Drop has been releasing some great quickie videos from their shop…check out a few below, and then head over to their YouTube channel to watch the rest!
Paul Dang enjoys a little bit of alone time with the new One Drop titanium prototype in this quick video. Between this one and the YoYoFactory Dream it looks like we have two great titanium yoyos coming soon! No word on a name or pricing for the One Drop titanium yet, but we’ll update if we can pry it out of Paul’s hands for some measurements.
Paul Dang popped up with the latest update from the One Drop machine shop, and it looks like in spite of the fact that they’re packing up everything to move to a new location they’ve been pretty busy!
A few things we can look forward to: TWO new bi-metal yoyos, a new design inspired by the Project 2, and a stack of titanium bar stock that is destined to become….something soon.
Here are screen caps of the bi-metal prototypes and the new Project 2 inspired prototype:
Paul Dang, bringing the heat. Why film more than one trick when that one trick is this good?
This year we tried out a new multi-camera filming setup, and despite an exciting variety of equipment issues, the Top 10 of 1A are presented in this exclusive new configuration. This is the first time I’ve ever seen multiple camera angles edited together for an American contest, and these videos turned out pretty awesome.
And here are a few moments aside from the winning routines that are worth checking out:
Air YoYoing Freestyles
Players compete with imaginary yo-yos to win a YoYofficer Aura. With demos by judges Paul Dang and Graeme Steller, and competitors David Kane, Anthony Federici, Gabe Carter-Weidenfeld, and Hudson Wright.
The Blindfolded Legends Sports Ladder
Hosted by Graeme Steller, yo-yoing legends Daniel Dietz, Eric Koloski, Jeff Coons, Mark Montgomery, and Paul Dang perform classic 1A Sport Ladder tricks, without using their eyes!
John Wolfe does awesome 5A juggling, also crazy Rei-Dragon (dual-string 5A) tricks in his 3rd place routine.
And congratulations to Adam Lord for earning the Brett Outchcunis award, in recognition for his efforts to encourage and support the yoyo community. Adam is a Yomega Ambassador and also responsible for organizing the NH State YoYo Contest, which is coming up soon on June 21st.
The 2014 Bay Area Classic was another amazing event, filled with the top talent in the nation. Check out this video from the contest, featuring Ky Zizan, James Reed, Charles Haycock, Eric Koloski, Tyler Severance, Tessa Piccillo, Paul Dang, and more!
