First Look – CLYW Puffin
The third iteration of the CLYW Puffin, signature model for Icelandic champ Palli Gudmundsson, will be available at YoYoExpert on November 9th! There was initially a small release at the 2017 World YoYo Contest in Iceland, but this is the first full production release of this new design.

The result is one of our most daring monometal designs, with a ton of rim weight pushed to the edge by an undercut that was intensely difficult to pull off.

CLYW Presents: EYYC 2017
The CLYW team got together at the 2017 European YoYo Championship in Bratislava, Slovakia for all the usual stuff…yoyo tricks, laughing, arm wrestling, yoyo tricks, drinking beverages, dance parties, hangovers, and more yoyo tricks. Always amazing.

Ann Connolly – Am I Allowed To Show This?
Ann Connolly’s latest video blog finds her apartment loaded with yoyo players gearing up for EYYC! Gentry Stein, Andrew Maider, and Palli Gudmundsson all stopped by for dinner (orange chicken w/white rice) and so that Gentry could help Andrew with his freestyle. And then we got a sneak peek of Ann’s new signature edition of the Shutter, with a sweet looking purple-to-pink fade!

Basecamp Vibes

CLYW in Prague
I’m so jealous of everyone who got to attend the 2016 European YoYo Championship this year…it was another fantastic event, run by great people, filled with amazing players. But luckily there have been a slew of great EYYC recap videos (like this one from Jeffrey Pang) and now my homies at CLYW have dropped this fantastic bit of video showing off some amazing tricks and good times. I really need to get out to more contests.
The CLYW team is scattered across eight countries and three continents, so when they get together it’s filled with laughter, camaraderie, great tricks, and good times.
A huge chunk of the team converged on Prague for the 2016 European YoYo Championship. They had a great time. Featuring Petr Kavka, Tessa Piccillo, Palli Gudmundsson, Alec Campbell, Riccardo Fraolini, Ayumu Harada and Nuu Gatowsky. Special guest appearances by Eiji Okuyama, Jake Mulvey and David Stejskal.

44Clash held a star-studded battle tournament as a side event at the 2015 World YoYo Contest in Tokyo. YoYoFactory’s Paul Kerbel emerged as the well-deserved champion but now those of us who didn’t make it to the event get to watch every round leading up to Paul’s victory!

CLYW team member Palli Gudmundsson scored a pretty awesome gig! He was filmed for a mobile phone commercial, but for the final commercial they lopped off his head with digital effects and added the head of, in his words, “the Ryan Gosling of Iceland”. AMAZING.
