Christmas 2014 – Mexican YoYo Association
The Mexican YoYo Association released another meeting video, their last of the year! Featuring a ton of local talent, including superstars Luis Enrique and Paul Kerbel.
Mexican YoYo Association on Sabadazo
Mexican YoYo Association players Isaac Kanarek, Betty Gallegos, Orlando Abrajan, and Mauricio Calvo had a great appearance on Mexican television show “Sabadazo”. As with many Mexican television shows, the hosts were three beautiful women, one who was rapping, and a guy in clown makeup acting like a lunatic.
I wonder if American TV looks this crazy in Mexico? 😉
Congrats to the MYYA players on a great appearance and some solid press for the Mexican yoyo scene!
Paul Kerbel edges out Luis Enrique for Mexico’s Worlds seed
Paul Kerbel and Luis Enrique continue their unrelenting battle for 1A supremacy in Mexico, and this year Paul Kerbel ended the Mexican contest season ahead of YoYoFactory teammate Luis Enrique.
Luis Enrique defeated Paul recently at BAC 2013 and 44CLASH 2012, but Paul ended up ahead at BAC2012 and the last three contests in Mexico – Winter 2012, Nationals 2013, and now Summer 2013.
Last year Paul failed to make finals at Worlds, but his three season titles in Mexico assured his spot among the Nationals seeds this year.
There’s little doubt those two are among the strongest contenders for the World title, and here’s a taste of what to expect in August:
The Mexican seed is decided by adding up the scores from the three major contests in the country, and here’s how it went down this season:
