This past weekend saw the crowning of the new Bulgarian National Champions and we have the results and video. The Bulgarian yo-yo community saw a growth in the participation this year and the competition was extremely tough. The difference between winning and third place in 1A was a mere 1 point–not surprising when all of the top 3 had great performances.
Konstantin Tudjarov took home top honors and will represent Bulgaria for the next year as champion. Konstantin showed an extremely clean routine with some Luis Enrique and Gentry Stein inspired combos. Konstantin looked poised and sharp on stage and will be a worthy representative of the Bulgarian yo-yo community at EYYC and Worlds! Check out his routine here:
George Ganchev came in second place, falling short by a mere .6 points, with another very clean routine and some nice choreography. George was a very strong second. Check out his routine here:
Finally, rounding out the top 3 was Biser Lukich who demonstrated some extremely creative and wildly entertaining stuff. Biser proved he is a legitimate contender for EYYC 2014. Again, he was only one point away from taking the title home and he too had an extremely clean routine. Check out his routine here:

Unfortunately due to a growing community no 2A or 3A divisions were held.
In 4A and 5A, George Stoyanov once again took the titles and looks forward to preparing for the European Yo-Yo Championship in 2014 aiming for a top three finish in 5A after a sixth place finish in 2013. With an early switch out, George showed lots of composure to finish his routine strong which is undeniably a sign of experience. George had great technical combos and difficult sideways combos and looks ready to take a top 3 position at EYYC. Check out his winning 5A routine here:
Looks like it was a great event and the Bulgarian yo-yo community is going strong!
