Japanese EDM group Future Boyz (you might remember them from their appearance at the 2015 World YoYo Contest) just dropped a new video for their song “Throw Down with MK” and yeah…it’s a straight up yoyo video. The music video features Shaqler, because they are amazing, as well as stage footage of a pile of different players from the recent THROWDOWN contest in Japan. I’m always excited to see our scene get some love…huge thanks to Future Boyz for shining a light on some of the best players in our scene.

World YoYo Champion John Ando gives us a look at his work as a yoyo demonstrator in this video. This routine is a great reference for any aspiring performers out there…this is a great example of how to build a yoyo routine for a room full of young kids.
This video shows you the basic package of what a school yo-yo demonstration might look like.
In modern yoyoing, it’s easy to get lost in executing too many complex looking tricks. Unfortunately, non-yoyoers will not understand that aspect of brilliance. A balance between the easy (flashy tricks) and hard (complex tricks) is essential to pull off a good show. If you plan to do a school show in the future, I hope this can be reference to building your own. Remember, balance is the key.
World YoYo Champion John Ando jumped back on the stage for the first time in a while at the 2016 European YoYo Contest and every 1A player in the world collectively held their breath for those three minutes as one of the most unique and trend-setting players in the world raised the bar just a little higher.
