Much love to Fist Salud for a solid trick compilation video from 44Fest Vol. 20! 44Festa events always bring out some of our favorites from the Japanese yoyo scene, and this video brings a pile of great tricks from too many players to list.
Check out this new video featuring Sota Sudo and some really nice 1A tech play. Good stuff!

4x World YoYo Champion Hiroyuki Suzuki has announced that he’s launching a new brand called “Freshthings”, and the first delivery of releases looks pretty amazing.
First up is a plastic yoyo that echoes his typical design sensibilities, but is stock responsive and is a collaboration with Fragment Design, which means Hiroyuki is working with legendary streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara! That’s pretty huge, and is the biggest fashion/yoyo design collaboration since Duncan produced yoyos for Lady Gaga’s pop-up store at Barney’s.
(Honorable mention to Self Edge for putting a yoyo on the leather patch of their collaboration with The Flat Head.)
Included in the first delivery it looks like we’ll also have a licensed collaboration with Coca-Cola, with two different designs: one featuring a Japanese logo and the other featuring a classic logo that appears to be from the 1980s. Both look pretty cool, and while neither is as exciting as the Fragment collaboration, it’s still pretty great to see Coke logos on a good playing yoyo…something we haven’t had since Russell Promotions stopped working with them in the late 90s.
No word yet on pricing or availability, but Freshthings will officially launch on November 2nd, 2016. We’ll update with more info when we have it!
44Festa is always a good time! Check out some fantastic tricks from the Vol. 19 event, presented by Fist Salud.
Hong Kong-based yoyo company C3yoyodesign presents a new video for their budget contest yoyo, the Accelerator, featuring members of the Japanese C3 Team. Featuring Shinya Kido, Rei Iwakura, Ryuichi Nakamura, and Reia Torita.

Our favorite regular yo-yo event has turned 3! 44FESTA celebrated its 3rd anniversary on August 6th, and they have a nifty report in English up on their website.
Go check out the crazy trick ladder and freestyle battles, and be sure to attend the next event in September if you are in Japan!
Much love to our 44FESTA brothers!
Who’s your buddy? Who’s your pal? Who’s your favorite hyperactive superhero from Hong Kong? SIMPSON!
Simpson Wong Wai Sheuk is one of the owners of C3yoyodesign and everyone’s favorite awesome guy. He’s been a pillar of the Asia-Pacific yoyo community for years and years and years now and you can find him at nearly every major contest behind a camera or on stage dressed like David Bowie’s little brother.
We love Simpson, and his latest video, filmed during a trip to Kyoto, Japan, is beautiful and fun and fantastic. Enjoy!

Daigo Komiya brings the good stuff in this quickie video, shot by Ryosuke Kawamura.
Yoyo used is the One Drop Rebirth.
Kenta Kushiro makes that Recess sponsorship look good in this new video. A++, would buy again.
Yoyo used is the Recess Weekend.
CLYW team member Ayumu Harada shot and edited this new video from promising talent Sota Aoyagi. If you can believe it, Sota is only nine years old and already has more skill than a ton of players twice his age. Amazing!
Yoyo used is the CLYW Bonfire.
I’m not sure if it’s the jaunty hat, the upbeat music, or just really fun tricks but I’m totally loving this new video featuring Daiju Okamura. What a great time to be a yoyo player.

C3yoyodesign’s Japanese team got together to show off one of their most recent budget models, and to make fun of Shinya for being lousy at finger spins. 😛
Featuring Shinya Kido, Rei Iwakura, Ryuichi Nakamura, and Reia Torita.
