Core YoYo Co. just dropped two more player profiles, featuring Ray Godefroid and Logan Willis. Great companions to the recent video of Gee Cheung, and holy crap are they gonna do these for every single dude they gave a Core shirt to? Sweeeeeeet.
Gee Cheung dropped a new video, and it’s short and sweet and worth your time.
Yoyo used is the Core YoYo Co. Standard.
I got a chance to play an early prototype of The Standard by Core YoYo Co. at US Nationals last year. It’s weird and cool and fun and plays really nice and plays like nothing else on the market. I’m very excited about all of those things! Check out full details from their press release below, and pick one up at the YoYoExpert booth at the 2016 World YoYo Contest!
Core Co. is happy to announce the official release of our first yoyo, The Standard. It will be available at the YoyoExpert booth during the World Yoyo Contest, August 3-6, 2016.
The Standard was designed based primarily around one idea, that a yoyo could have play that is independent of its shape. The Standard combines an aluminum “core” with acetal “shells” that are replaceable and interchangeable. The minimalist aluminum core allows for extremely efficient weight distribution, while the lightweight acetal shell is designed to be comfortable in hand. The result of this combination gives The Standard a completely unique feel. It is efficient, yet elegant. Comfortable yet performance oriented. Going forward, Core Co. will be introducing a variety of shells in different shapes, sizes and colors — all of which will be compatible with The Standard’s unique core.
