As I understand, there are multiple “National Championships” in China due to large rival manufacturers each holding their own major contests and only recognizing their own as the championship. From the backdrop on this one it’s hard to tell who is responsible, but hopefully we’ll see one single event supported by all Chinese manufacturers in the future. Although, considering the general struggles in the worldwide contest scene and the slow, miserable death of the current World YoYo Contest over the last 6 years or so, I guess we here in the US don’t have much of a leg to stand on when asking another country to “get it together”, contest-wise.
