Tomonori Ishiguro, performing these days under the name Tom Black, unveils a new yoyo routine with a beautifully illustrated and animated backdrop. This is the first choreographed routine we’ve seen using the 7-Magic, a Bluetooth enabled yoyo created by C3yoyodesign and tech company Cerevo with input from Black.
The 7-Magic is Bluetooth enabled and allows you to use software on your computer to create programmable light routines on the yoyo, allowing for an amazing degree of visual control during performances.
Japanese super wizard / yoyo player Shinya Kido blows out another stellar promo video for his signature bi-metal yoyo. It’s fantastic, as always.

Check out C3yoyodesign team member Corli Du Toit on South Africa’s Got Talent, and congrats to her making it through to Semi-Finals on the show. Great to see another big public representation of women in yoyoing! Thanks, Corli!
Josh Yee dropped some new videos in his “Trick Moment” series, featuring Chew Hong Joon, Jordan Shen, Stephanie Haight, and William Woon. These aren’t tutorial videos…the tricks aren’t slowed down or broken down. It’s really meant to capture, as the title says, just a moment of play from various players. It’s a neat idea, and we look forward to seeing more!
CLYW’s Ayumu Harada just dropped an offstring video, and it’s hella sweet. Watch it, and then high-five yourself for seeing something awesome.

C3yoyodesign presents a new video featuring Japanese team member and 4x World YoYo Champion, Rei Iwakura! So that means we’re looking at a pretty fantastic day, really, plus at least 2-3 weeks of severe inferiority complexes about our offstring abilities.

Hong Kong-based yoyo company C3yoyodesign presents a new video for their budget contest yoyo, the Accelerator, featuring members of the Japanese C3 Team. Featuring Shinya Kido, Rei Iwakura, Ryuichi Nakamura, and Reia Torita.

Right before the World YoYo Contest, our friends at C3yoyodesign dropped a new promo video for Shion Araya’s signature model, the Radius. Great timing, huh? Shion Araya went on to win the 1A Division at the World YoYo Contest with that yoyo, and now is a great time to check out this crazy good promo video. And you might as well check out his winning freestyle again, while you’re here. 😉

Who’s your buddy? Who’s your pal? Who’s your favorite hyperactive superhero from Hong Kong? SIMPSON!
Simpson Wong Wai Sheuk is one of the owners of C3yoyodesign and everyone’s favorite awesome guy. He’s been a pillar of the Asia-Pacific yoyo community for years and years and years now and you can find him at nearly every major contest behind a camera or on stage dressed like David Bowie’s little brother.
We love Simpson, and his latest video, filmed during a trip to Kyoto, Japan, is beautiful and fun and fantastic. Enjoy!

When Shion Araya wanted a new signature model, C3yoyodesign got to work. They talked to him about what he wanted and then created three different designs that all accomplished those goals in different ways. Through their Facebook page we got to see them walking through the prototyping process with these different iterations, and working through the process of Shion testing and deciding what worked best for him. Now we have the final product, releasing this weekend at the Hamamatsu YoYo Contest in Japan, and worldwide on May 2nd.
I’m forever amazed that C3yoyodesign isn’t a much larger company. I’m genuinely surprised when I walk around at a contest and I don’t see half the players throwing C3 yoyos. They are great people, who love what they do, and they make a wide range of genuinely fantastic products. They are deeply and intimately involved in every single step of the production process, and they are all passionate yoyo players who truly, madly love what they do.
This video is a great look at what it means to love what you do.
Veronika Kamenska shows off 3 years of practice and hard work in her newest video. Awesome!
