The JYYF announced a new yoyo contest in Japan called Throwdown, and it’s a collaboration with Avex Sports, a major Japanese record label and talent agency.

The JYYF Throwdown will take place on Oct. 9, 2016 at Shinjuku Face, a concert venue just a few minutes walk from the JR Shinjuku Station (East Exit). It appears to be an invitation-only event, with top name competitors from Japan and the rest of the world competing in a new contest format designed for maximum entertainment. Details are scarce so far, but we’ll update as more information is released.
