We’re here at the 2017 World YoYo Contest in Reykjavik, Iceland, and we’ll be posting results as quickly as we can get them direct from the judges.
The Wild Card round is one of the fiercest in the entire event, and only the best make it through. Check out full results for 1A Wild Card…the top 30 players on this list will advance to Prelims!
Bryan Figueroa is known for his 4A, but mostly that’s just because people don’t realize what a gifted 1A player he is. He’s got it all…style, creativity, and some of the smoothest trick delivery you’ve ever seen.
Yoyo used is the Japan Technology Origin.
Check out the latest hotness from John Wolfe and Ky Zizan and a wall of black canvas and some pretty good yoyos.
Yoyo used is the Recess Vacation.
Happy birthday to the always amazing Hank Freeman! And to celebrate we’ve got a brand new video from everyone’s favorite 3A player who isn’t Hajime. Hank is one of those rare talents who came up in the late-90s yoyo boom and then just…kept going. He started off as a strong 2A player, then moved into 3A and became a 3-time World YoYo Champion at an age when most players have long since stopped competing…and the last two years he’s still placed Top 3 in the 3A division. Hank Freeman is the player we should all aspire to be…talented, humble, funny, steady, and leaving Ohio to live in Prague just for the hell of it.
Happy birthday, brother. Thanks for all the years of amazing tricks!

Japan Technology has announced a new 1A yoyo, the Adel! They’ve designed it to play light and fast, and coming from a legendary player like Atsushi Yamada I think it’s a safe bet this is going to be pretty damn good. Check out the promo video, full specs and photos below.
Two of the best yoyo players in the world throwing down on a bi-metal yoyo that’s become a Turning Point team favorite?
All. Day. Long.
Yoyo used is the Turning Point Anubis.
Fist Salud dropped an amazing new Big Dipper video featuring CLYW team member Petr Kavka, and I’ve already watched it six times. In my professional opinion, you should watch it at least four times. I’m a professional, so I have to do this kind of thing more than you, but four should be pretty good for you. Maybe five.
Filmed last week during a pre-EYYC trip to Berlin, this love letter to The Grey City features beautiful filming and editing, and a fantastic visual breakdown of the tricks and style of Czech uber-champ, Petr Kavka. So damn good!
Yoyo used is the CLYW Big Dipper.
This is it! We all got the best Christmas gift we weren’t expecting! Legendary 1A artist Rodrigo Yokota (Whip) dropped this beauty to cheer this holiday season!
I’ve talked about being a trick artist before, and Whip is certainly the best example of a trick artist. His trick elements are not just randomly put together, but composed in a unique, and beautiful fashion.
