The inimitable Doc Pop brings us a slew of really fun snap tricks in his latest PopCast yoyo vlog. There is a ton of great stuff in here, and snapping the string is always a fun (if slightly unpredictable) way to get something new happening in the middle of a combo. Enjoy!
Congrats to Hayden Brickman on picking up a spot on the SF YoYos team, and congrats to SF YoYos on scoring such a fresh talent. Hayden has serious chops, and we’ll be seeing a lot more from him plenty soon.

Keiran Cooper destroys with the new collaboration between SF and A-RT. I’m still surprised they didn’t just go with S-FART but I dunno, maybe there’s a fart joke coming later. Anyway, here’s a great opportunity to just watch Keiran slay for like three and a half minutes. Yoyoing starts at 3:50 if you’re impatient.

Takeshi Matsuura dropped a new tutorial for one of his coolest combos from Worlds, and it’s glorious. Such an elegant little bit of yoyo play here, and breaking the whole thing down actually makes it seem more amazing. Dig in and enjoy!

Eric Tran-ton is, hands-down, one of the best yoyo players of his generation. His style, his execution, his creativity are all peerless and he stands out as one of the few truly unique voices in modern yoyoing. As with all of his videos, it’s been a while since the last one, and it’s worth the wait.

Everyone loves a good redemption arc, right? Zichen Liu was the local favorite to win Worlds this year, and after crowd-favorite freestyles in both Prelims and Semi-Finals, his Finals routine just fell apart and we never got to see it in it’s full glory. But thanks to the good folks at Turning Point and Huatian, now we get the whole freestyle, executed perfectly, and it was worth the wait. Amazing.
