We got another video from one of the most singular and creative voices in the history of yoyoing, Jensen Kimmitt. It is unique and lovely, with tricks that are alternately smooth and startling…much like Jensen, really. Incredible work, as always.

Former World Champion Jensen Kimmitt just dropped a really damn good fixed axle video, with one of his own handmade yoyos. Interesting tricks done well with style to spare…hard to get much better than that, right?

Knots Clothing is a new yoyo-based clothing brand from Russia, and their first release features artwork by Jensen Kimmitt. Check out their promo video above, and details about the new line below.
Today we officially announce Knots – a clothing brand we’ve been working on for past months. The initial release features a collaboration with yoyoing legend Jensen Kimmitt – Duns Broccoli series: two artworks printed on 90% cotton 10% polyester melange fabric using a DTG machine filled with DuPont Ink in Moscow, Russia.
The sweatshirt features side pockets, one with a little knot for a yoyo. Cause we’re kinda into yoyos, you know.
Keep an eye on wearknots.com to learn how you can get your hands on the first batch and see you at WYYC in Prague this August.
The Hildy Bros have announced their next collaboration, this one with Jensen Kimmitt! These limited edition, hand-turned wooden yoyos will be available tomorrow night at HildyBros.com.
Here it is, the Jensen Kimmitt Edition Currier! Jensen is a World Champion yoyoer, musician (under the name Duns Broccoli), and artist working out of Edmonton, Alberta. This hand Turned Maple Currier is adorned by one of three Dink Faces designed by Duns Himself. These are very limited, only 10 of each dink face has been produced.
*Please Note: As in life, you can not choose your Dink Face. It will be chosen for you at random. You can choose to order all three Dink Faces by selecting the “All Three” option.
These will drop at 11:00PM EST on Monday June 2nd on our store.
Jensen Kimmitt dropped a new video and it’s gloriously weird and awesome.
Yoyo used is the Wooly Marmot 2 which sold out completely in the US on Saturday night, although you can still find a few at Slusny, and most of the overseas retailers haven’t put theirs up yet, so head to the CLYW site for a full list of who’s going to have more in Asia and Europe.
Jensen Kimmitt got ahold of the last of the Canvases from CLYW, and is hand-painting them! There are only a handful left, and he’s selling them for $150 each.
Get in touch with him through his Facebook page if you’re interested!
2013 Alternative Freestyle Invitational – Jensen Kimmitt
YoYoNews is incredibly proud to present exclusive video of the 2013 Alternative Freestyle Invitational from the World YoYo Contest.
The Alternative Freestyle Invitational was conceived by Sebastian Brock as a way to showcase a select group of “players favorites” who didn’t make it to finals or simply didn’t compete. There are no judges for the Alternative Freestyles, and players are encouraged to take risks on tricks that they might edit out of a competition freestyle due to their difficulty.
YoYoNews will be uploading all of the Alternative Freestyles, one each day, and we start with the always amazing Jensen Kimmitt. This former World Champion redefined smoothness in modern yoyoing, and this year he surprised us with an unannounced appearance at the Alternative Freestyle Invitational. Jensen is throwing the new Yeti by CLYW.
Jensen Kimmitt dropped a fixed axle video! Not only are the tricks pretty good, but Jensen reminds us once again that he’s just really damn entertaining to watch. Filmed by Charles Haycock, and according to the video comments, the yoyo used is ” a 70mm red oak/ash design I’ve been tinkering with for awhile. Charles turned out this one on da lathe.”
The notorious Little Scrappy Fetus Crew recently announced the addition of 1A G.O.A.T. Yuuki Spencer to their ragtag bunch, and decided to celebrate with three short videos. They also used some pretty NSFW music and poked a little bit of fun at a certain 5A GOAT along the way, which is decidedly rude for a group that’s 83% Canadian. It’s all in fun. Grab your headphones and check out the videos below, and if you wanna read more not-necessarily-yoyo-related swearin’ on tumblr you can do that too.
P.S. A little birdie told me that Jensen thinks bearing play is dead. Actually, that birdie was Jensen, I was just being coy. How does this make you feel?! Argue with us about it in the comments!
Jensen Kimmitt seems to have been reading and learning from our Fixed Friday posts, because in his first new video in years he demonstrates an undeniable flair with a wooden yoyo that can only come from careful study of Drew Tetz.
(Music is NSFW, headphone it!)
…and henceforth, 2013 shall be known as “The Glorious Year of So Many Friggin’ YoYo Videos” and all shall rejoice.
Chuck and Jensen are quickly pushing product promo clip videos into high art. Between this promo for the release of the Fools’ Gold Avalanches, their accidental tribute to Mummenschanz, and the CLYW x Raised By Wolves video, CLYW has set the bar impossibly high and truly cemented the look and feel of their brand. All you small manufacturers take note: if your company doesn’t have a personality, you’re doing it wrong.
All the high fives for Chris, Chuck, and Jensen. ALL OF THEM, do you hear me?!?! ALL OF THEM!!!
CLYW just dropped this new video featuring Charles Haycock and World Champion Jensen Kimmitt to promote the upcoming release of five colors (solid black, grey, blue, purple & orange) of Fool’s Gold Avalanches in the CLYW store.
Available this Friday, February 1st at Noon MST, “Fool’s Gold” is the term that CLYW uses for their factory seconds. It’s a great chance to scoop up an amazing yoyo at a much lower price than usual…don’t miss out!
