The latest release from Mythril is a stunning looking new bi-metal design – The Gravitas!
The Gravitas is a very well balanced yo-yo. It perfectly blends speed and stability to give you all the performance you need for the most complex routine without feeling sluggish or out of control in any situations. It has a comfortable organic profile with inner cup fitted steel rings to provide the ultimate control in play and a large catch zone for those more risky maneuvers!
The Gravitas is one of the most effortlessly fun yoyo releases of the year, with all of the power and spin time you could ever need in a chunky, organic body that feels too comfortable to play this good. The Gravitas plays fast and smooth, but has slightly more heft on the throw than the usual bi-metal yoyo. Instead of making the yoyo feel heavy, this just makes it feel more powerful and it really delivers in that department…during our play testing it always seems to have plenty of spin when it came back to the hand, and powered through all kinds of tricks easily and effortlessly.
The Mythril Gravitas continues their simple and classy aesthetic with no logo engraved on the yoyo itself, but a sharply domed hub and a single silver circle engraved around that hub. The result is instantly iconic, and it really lets you focus more on the actual shape of the yoyo. Mythril make player’s yoyos, meant to be a workhorse for your day in, day out play. The simple aesthetic (done really well) combined with quality machining and anodizing, makes the Gravitas and Mythril’s other releases really stand out in a crowded market.
The Mythril Gravitas retails for $120 and is worth every penny. If you’re looking for a yoyo that can do it all, and look great in the process, Mythril has got you covered with this release. Anyone who is a fan of bi-metal spin times and comfortable, chunky rims should pick this up immediately.

Tylor McCallumore is one of the great unsung heroes of the northeast yoyo scene. He started off at the A2Z YoYo Club when he was just six years old (!!!) and is still consistently one of the best players in the room.
