Kyos Toys owner Kyle Weems was named “Hacker of the Month” over at MatterHackers.com, a website dedicated to the fast-growing maker movement. His work created custom printed & machined yoyos based on user-submitted designs seems to have caught their eye!

They also intend on sponsoring the World Yo-Yo Contest in Cleveland in 2016, where they plan on setting up a makerspace to show people how 3D printing yo-yos works.
Yep. The 2016 World YoYo Contest will have a full makerspace, manned by Kyle Weems, Drew Tetz, and others with special sessions where players can learn about yoyo design, try their hand at designing their own, and then actually have that yoyo fabricated for them before they leave the contest. Sounds awesome, right? More details on that coming soon.
