A couple of weeks ago we got the huge news that Duncan Toys was trimming their team way down to just a core group of their most active members. This led to a ton of speculation and lots of questions as we all waited from official word from Duncan on who would remain on the team.
Today YoYoNews is proud to give you the exclusive jump on the final Duncan Crew roster! Looks like the final team is a much more manageable size, and filled with their most active players. Looks like a great lineup for Duncan moving forward…congrats to everyone who made the cut, and I hope we can expect big things from all of them.

The 2015 Bay Area Classic was held this past weekend, and once again some of the best players in the US gathered for a full day of fierce competition. The ENTIRE 1A Finals list was stacked with champions, but CLYW’s Andrew Maider came out on top with his best freestyle yet. Tyler Hsieh pulled out a nice routine in the otherwise sparse 2A Division, while Elliot Ogawa took home a hard-won 1st Place trophy in the 3A Division. The 4A Division had a World Champion squaring off against a National Champion, with Michael Nakamura taking home top honors, and the 5A division saw contest stalwart Tyler Severance from YoYoFactory taking home his FIFTH win at the Bay Area Classic! Congrats to all the winners!

The Guinness World Record channel on YouTube just posted this “classic” clip, of 4-time World YoYo Champion Hiroyuki Suzuki setting the original Guinness World Record for knocking coins off people’s ears with a yoyo. Nice to see a clip like this archived for posterity!
The first record was set by John & Rebecca Higby in Spain on the Guiness World Record show. This clip shows Hiroyuki beating that time. Then in 2013, John Higby set a new record with TWO yoyos, live on television in Beijing. (Thanks to John Higby for the clarification!)
