Duncan’s International YoYo Championship is just around the corner, and they’ve announced an incredible roster of talent that they are flying in to compete in their event! Some of the top players from around the world are being flown to Orlando to compete against each other for more than $17,000 in cash prizes! Who will come out on top? We’ll be taking a look at some of the players Duncan has invited, and we want to know: who do YOU think is going to win?
Our second match-up: David Molnar vs. Bryan Jardin!
David Molnar is a 2x European 5A Champion, 2x Hungarian 5A Champion, and has racked up contest wins in the 5A division in Italy, the Czech Republic, and the UK. He’s an absolute powerhouse of a player, and also has a slew of titles and Top 3 finishes in the 1A, 3A, and 4A divisions all across Europe. Sponsored by C3YoYoDesign with a new signature yoyo, the Dymension, David is a force to be reckoned with in multiple divisions and if he’s on his game he could come away with a crazy amount of prize money from the International YoYo Championship.
Bryan Jardin is a 5x Philippines 5A Champion, and a 2x winner of the 5A division at the highly competitive Asia Pacific YoYo Championship. One of Duncan’s true star players, Bryan’s counterweight play is fast, smooth, stylish, and he has one tremendous advantage over David: the IYYC event is in Florida, and that weather (even for an indoor event) has been known to wreak havoc on players and their equipment. Bryan has the home-field advantage here, and won’t be suffering from the jet lag that David will be fighting at the event.
Who do you think will place higher in the 5A division at the 2014 International YoYo Championship…David Molnar or Bryan Jardin? Cast your vote below!
Wouldn’t be so sure that the temperature would be a problem for Molnár. He’s been working in Greece for the past 6 months or so performing demos. So Molnár will have gotten used to performing with minimal mistakes in extreme heat and humidity.
That and he seems to be some sort of day walker..
The contest is indoors, so heat isn’t an issue at all.
