Champions Remain Champions at Philippines Nationals!

The 2013 Philippines National Yo-yo Contest was held in Manila on November 10th, unfazed by typhoon Haiyan.

This year all defending champions successfully retained their titles!

In 1A, Crucial’s dancing wonder Reymark Zavalla got his second title in a row, ahead of Miguel Fernando and Joseph Junsay. 2A saw Kyle Capiral win once again to claim his sixth national title, Hiro “Kitty” Koba remains the king of Filipino 3A, Duncan’s hyperactive duo Sean Perez and Bryan Jardin also defended their titles in 4A and 5A, claiming their seventh (!!) and sixth titles, respectively.

Adegle YoYos ACCEL Promo ft. Guo Ziwei

Adegle YoYos dropped another promo video for their ACCEL yoyo, this one also featuring Guo Ziwei. Their last one was released back in June, but the yoyo still doesn’t appear to be available anywhere that we can find and it’s not listed on Adegle’s website. Please drop us a line in the comments if you know anything about the release date, price, or availability of this yoyo.

YoYoBulgaria Efreet Promo – Fire YoYo Proto #4

Looks like the folks at YoYoBulgaria have a pretty decent working prototype of a fire yoyo. The idea of a fire yoyo is something that comes up every few years…most attempts either don’t stay lit very well, or play horribly. This looks like it might actually be a winner!

According to Martin from YoYoBulgaria, you can throw this 3 – 5 times before the body starts to get hot, and the body of the yoyo has a special coating that helps with heat distribution. The yoyo will come packaged with a set of lightweight gloves that will allow you to play a bit longer than the 3 – 5 throws, and is expected to retail in the $150-range.
