Kendama pros like Zack Yourd & Colin Sander can’t just cruise into a ten-day seven-city extravaganza like the Kengarden Roots Tour without a bit of practice. Here are a few days of getting the feel back, both in-front of, and behind the lens.
Vocal commentary left in to give some insight into the player-filmer relationship.

YoYoRecreation has posted a couple of great teasers of what we can expect from their team at the 2013 World YoYo Contest…and it looks like we can expect a lot! Check out some great tricks from Tatsuya Fujisaka and Minato Furuta below.
YoYoNews has your first look and specs for the new plastic yoyo from C3YoYoDesign, the Speedaholic! The test shots you see below just came from the molds yesterday, but it looks like development and production are moving quickly on this new model. (For your reference, the four circles you see on the inner rim of the yoyo are ejector points…where the yoyo half is pushed out of the mold. Don’t say we never taught you anything.)

Tyler Severance has a catalog of signature yoyos dating back to 2008. He is now on his 7th YoYoFactory model with the release of the NEW Supernova. Each yoyo offers indications of the evolutionary direction of Tyler’s play. Some of the design elements remain not fully explored offering room for improvement and refinement. The NEW Supernova captures the essence of these models again to bring a new playing experience to the line. Weighting has been a little more consolidated and brought out a touch to provide more stability reflecting a shift in Tyler’s play to longer combos and more horizontal play. The rim shape looks more like the 2010 Severe than the later Supernovas, and the drop off from the bearing is the most prominent it has been since the 2009 editions with no wall really needed for control thanks to the weight distribution. Standard configuration has it coming with a SPEC X, while not Tyler’s choice for competition it is what he suggests for every day play. Rather than release colors, Tyler will be releasing Supernova in a series of themed editions, the first two will be available August 9 at select retailers with a full release scheduled later this August.
In June of 2013, Werrd had asked Vu and I to join them on a journey to Japan for JN2013. While there we met a lot of cool players, and went on a mini adventure. for the past month and a half we thought the footage was lost, but now we found it. This is a video documenting our adventure in Japan as well as showcasing one of the best Werrd yoyos to ever be produced. Enjoy!
