The quality of play coming out of YoYoFactory Russia these days is just amazing…I think we can expect to see them make a huge splash at Worlds 2014 in Prague.

Proper Magazine just featured him and his obsessions in their Favourite Fives column, and it’s well worth clicking through and reading if you’re interested in just what gets a serial entrepreneur excited.
Had to post this great video from Greek kendama player, Mr. Jumpshoe. Some really burly tricks in here, as well as a lot of variation from standard to jumbo, Emperor, and mini kendamas…even a few tricks with a traditional ball & cup! The tap move at 3:33 made my soul hurt….pretty sure I’ll never hit that.
There’s some really solid trick execution in this new video from the Saint Petersburg YoYo School, featuring Denis Visloguzov and Konstantin Moskvin. Nice work!
Kendama USA is proud to present the sixth edit from Zack Yourd. Spending a week out in Colorado to log some time on the snowboard, Yourd was able to pick up the camera and lace some kendama maneuvers in the colorful views of the Centennial State. Experience the elevations and good vibes this edit has to offer as you gain insight to the endless creativity that’s sparked from kendama.
The Descender is a really nice leather yoyo holder, handmade by 6-time National YoYo Champion Bryan Figueroa. Available at YoYoExpert and other fine stores, this is a really nice alternative to the usual nylon slings.
And finally we can see what Chris Mikulin, Charles Haycock, and Jensen Kimmitt do at the CLYW office every day.
Another brilliant video from the creative minds behind one of the best and most beloved yoyo brands on the market.
The 2013 Minnesota State YoYo Contest is this Saturday, April 27th, at Rosedale Center, from 10 AM – 4:30 PM. With over $1,000 in cash and prizes, it should be a great event!

Another week has come and gone, and yet we still made up another batch of tricks. How do we do it? COFFEE!
Colin Beckford reminds us that he’s a player to watch for 2013 with this nugget of excellence.
Spencer Berry gets small with some teeny tiny Magic Drops.
I took some advice from my son on what kind of trick to make up for the day. Never let a 7-year old make decisions for you unless you’re a fan of fart sounds.
Colin Beckford is back, with the last yoyo trick filmed in front of the old meeting space for the Cleveland YoYo Club.
Sometimes it really is as simple as “What if I did that twice instead of once?”
Not to be outdone by Spencer, I got even smaller.
And Rafael Matsunaga gets the hairy eyeball from a passing missionary while doing this excellent Figure 8 variation.
See you next week!
