There’s been a lot of talk about new products from YoYoFactory since the international toy fairs in New York, Nuremburg, and Hong Kong, and we’ve finally gotten hard information on everything!
New Packaging for 2013
The One, WHiP, OneStar, Velocity, F.A.S.T. 201, and Loop 360 all have brand-new, beginner-centric packaging. Slip knots come pre-tied and ready for a new player, and the packaging is a noticeable departure from the look of most yoyo cards. Designed by John Huber, the new packaging looks great and once again raises the bar for industry packaging design.
Ricochet – Titanium YoYo
The Ricochet is YoYoFactory’s first 100% titanium yoyo. Only 60% more dense than aluminum but more than 200% stronger, titanium is an expensive but excellent way to make sure you end up with a throw that will last you the rest of your life. The Ricochet will retail for between $200 – $230, and will be available from YoYoExpert and other yoyo specialty retailers. The coolest feature is the packaging…expect to see more YoYoFactory models available in these new plastic boxes, which serve as display boxes (with wall-mounting capabilities) that even lock together…so as you collect more yoyos, you build your own display case for them. Neat!
Official worldwide release date for the Ricochet is Sunday, March 17th, and each one comes with a limited edition translucent blue version of their popular multitool.
Looking great! 🙂
