YoYoFactory has kicked off their 2013 West Coast Tour, which will end with the 2013 Southern California YoYo Championships on January 26th. Rules and schedule for the contest have been posted, as well as all the stops and dates for the tour!
Performing on this tour will be Ann Connolly, Tyler Severance, Seth Peterson, and special guest from the Czech Republic, Vashek Kroutil!

[…] YoYoFactory’s 2013 SoCal tour is going great, with the team doing a ton of school assemblies and in-store demonstrations and teaching sessions. Assistant YoYoFactory Tour Manager Seth Peterson says they’ve been performing for at least 1,000 people a day, and teaching hundreds of kids how to yoyo for the first time. “The store demos are really going great…tons of new players picking up yoyos and some kids are getting all the way to Braintwister within an afternoon!” says Seth. “There are already 40+ competitors registered for the contest this weekend, and we’ll be posting freestyles and results as fast as we can.” […]

The West Coast tour hit Sacramento at Cal Expo and Roseville at Learning Express hard last year and had a great turn-out. I wish I could have gone. They also made a return stop in Roseville at Learning Express that had a good turn-out. Here’s to hoping their tour schedule brings them back to the Sacramento area!

Yeah. Seems a little thin to be called a “West Coast” tour, doesn’t it? Not sure if they plan to cover more of the West Coast but those dates are all the info we have. Still, considering that no other yoyo companies seem to be doing any kind of regional promotions at all it’s better than nothing, right?
