I’m not sure if this is a yoyo player who also has a band, or a metal head who also plays yoyo, but I’ll say this: HELL YES.
Guitarist Alex Lee’s band, Holy Grail, has a new album coming out January 22nd and as part of the promotional efforts their record label, Prosthetic Records, posted the above yoyo video from Alex.
I have no idea if that’s going to sell records, but as someone who has done exhibition freestyles to Black Dahlia Murder, Death, and Cannibal Corpse I’m all in favor of more metalheads getting into yoyos. And Duncan Toys has announced that they will be producing special promotional yoyos to promote the album, which will be available direct from the band and the label.
“Ride The Void” from Holy Grail is due out January 22nd from Prosthetic Records. Follow the band on Twitter and Facebook for updates, and follow the label on Facebook and Twitter so you can pepper them with detailed questions about Alex’s choice of string and really confuse them.
